The f&dt team

Helen Lewis is the person in charge of food&drink towers and a freelance writer for a range of clients and publications. She has a penchant for eating out a little too often than is healthy for her bank balance and waistline, and reckons you can’t beat kicking back with a nice glass of Rioja, some tapas and a massive cheese board after a busy day in the office. Helen is passionate about all things food&drink-related, and is currently working hard to fine-tune her cooking skills, which previously involved burning everything in sight.

Scott Lewis eats, sleeps and breathes photography. In spite of harbouring delusions of one day winning the Turner prize for his abstract fine-art compositions, on a professional level Scott specialises in food&drink and commercial events. His work has been used for a wide range of purposes including product packaging, and he has had work published for companies including justfood.com, Retail Week and, of course, food&drink towers. Scott places rather a lot of emphasis on the drink part of his role and insists that his frequent visits to the White Hart, Black Sheep and The Bluebottle are in the name of painstaking research.

Dawn Copeman is a freelance writer and contributing editor at food&drink towers. Dawn is based in East Sussex and has written for Home and Family magazine, Healthdangers.com, Writing-World and E-Zee writer amongst others. Dawn is also contributing editor at www.Timetravel-Britain.com, where she writes the "Taste of Britain" column. Dawn is passionate about traditional foods and adores eating shepherd's pie and steak and kidney pudding but has to eat lots of salads to keep the weight down! Her favourite drink is gin and tonic, and she says there is no better way to mark the end of the working day.

Heather Brown has recently moved to Liverpool from West Sussex. In February 2007, she will be taking a fast-track course in magazine journalism and in the future fancies writing for a food magazine. Heather’s favourite food is cheese, a love cultivated on early camping trips in France. Unfortunately customs don't take too kindly to cheese smuggling, even for personal use. Her favourite soft drink is Appletiser, although she admits to craving cola for the caffeine. Heather’s alcohol of choice would be champagne, but she says: “My budget means that anything usually goes”.

James Wooldridge is an online journalist and keen photographer based in London. He is passionate about food and spends many a happy hour cooking gastronomic delights, including weird and unusual meat dishes, for his flatmates and friends. When not cooking, he enjoys exploring various watering holes in Central London and sampling their wares.

Lisa Ventura is a freelance writer and Editorial Assistant at food&drink towers. Lisa lives in Worcester in the Midlands and has written for The Times, The Guardian and other leading publications including She, Cosmopolitan and Top Sante. Lisa is also a freelance PR Consultant and works with a range of clients in many different fields including DEFRA Animal Health and The Not Just Sauce Worcester Music Festival 2008. Lisa adores her food and being Italian loves pasta, pizza and many traditional Italian foods. Her favourite dessert is tiramisu, particularly her Dad’s own version which is requested time and time again at family parties…although she dare not drive home after eating a portion due to it’s high alcohol content! To keep her weight down from eating such delicious food Lisa can often be found walking on the nearby Malvern Hills with her two dogs Curley and Howie.
